Cockpit Arts Open Studios, Holborn
Posted on
The Cockpit Arts studios open this weekend in Holborn as part of the Cockpit Summer Festival.
After an 18 month break, visitors can once again meet talented artist and designer makers in their studios. For sale will be textiles, ceramics, glass, wood, fine jewellery, homewares and fashion accessories.
Cockpit Arts is London's leading centre for contemporary craft. Studios are occupied by emerging talent, 20% of which are supported by bursary.
Cockpit Arts prides itself in having launched the careers of many leading names in contemporary craft. It is not typically open to the public, so the open studios presents a rare opportunity to meet these emerging artists and designers and see their work first hand.
Annie Warburton, CEO Cockpit Arts, describes a visit to the studios: "There's nothing I love more than seeing the delight on visitors' faces as they discover this magical place for the first time and get immersed in its creative vitality."
I plan to visit the studios this Friday, so watch this space for my highlights!
Opening times are:
Friday, 25th June - 12 noon to 8 pm
Saturday, 26th June - 12 noon to 6 pm
Sunday, 27th June - 12 noon to 6 pm
